Not another supercharger question...
This last weekend my 4runner's supercharger just decided to give up on me. It just all of a sudden started making that worn out bearing noise. I guess I have to replace the nose drive, if that's what is making the noise.
Where's the best place to buy the supercharger drive replacement? I don't think I can find the replacement in Canada, anytime soon. I figure I can't drive it for a few weeks.
I seem to recall seeing a writeup, somewhere, of a member replaced their supercharger's drive assembly without removing the whole unit. I've searched but can't find it. Gadget's site says he knows of a guy that's done it. Anybody else have any experience with this? Can I replace the drive assembly without taking the SC off?

Right now TRD has the best prices on rebuilt nose drives. Everything is new except the outer housing.
Call TRD and get the correct part number for your Gen supercharger. Then call back and ask the same question at least 4 times to make sure you are getting a consistant answer. Then order it from your local dealer with that part number.
I ordered my last one from www.PARTZNET.com and got a great price on it. Tell Tom, Gadget sent you.

Thanks for the info Gadget.
Do you happen to know if the replacement comes with the 5psi pulley? If they do, then I guess I'll be needing to order one of those 2.2" pulleys from you. I always needed an excuse to get one.
