Talking New Tires: 33's on stock 1st Gen

255/85/16 (33x10) BF Goodrich Mud Terrains on 16x7 Tacoma wheels.

Before:

After:

I have no rubbing issues as of yet. The front valace and the plastic corners on the front bumper are coming off soon. Also probably pound the pinch weld while I'm at it. Overall I'm very happy with the way the fit and how they look.

That's awesome....I have the same truck, a red 1st gen...I also have a set of 16" split 3-spoke 3rd gen wheels that need rubber.....those 255's look good.

Those look AWESOME! Ive got an 84 1st gen that I will probably have to get new tires for sometime soon (they disappeared quick after the Weber carb and TRD cam...). The ultimate plan is to get 33s and a 4" lift, so its good to see that i can reach this one step at a time. I always thought that 31s were the biggest that would fit without a lift? What do you have for diff gearing?

Looks awesome. Shows that you don't have to do any lift to fit 33s.

Right now I have the stock 4.10 gearing for now. I'm going to be getting 4.88's with a detroit locker in the rear and a trutrac. Thats not until next month when it goes in to get the Total Chaos Gen II kit installed.
