New style headlight assemblies for 92-95 4runners

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33710
I just found these on ebay. You may have known about them already. What do you think of them? One of my headlight assemblies is broken on the back and the other has a crack in it so i was thinking about getting them.

Do you think they'll fit? The corners aren't as rounded as the stocks. I found some stocks here:

Great price. I have a cracked lens and would like to replace mine too.

I got some Euro Crystal Cut housings for like 25 bucks a pair 18 months ago and they work awesome with the H-4 Bulbs. The price on this seems kinda high to me and I didn't see where it specified if it takes bulbs or if it's a sealed beam.

i'm pretty sure it takes bulbs just like the stock ones on the 92-95 4runners do. i might ask him about it just to make sure. it would be a pretty neat setup with some silverstars or something if thats the case

Sounds good Jake, I did notice the guy listed them as fitting 90-95. Mine came with sealed beams in 90 but that doesn't mean that these are like that. Still I believe you can find less expensive ones than this.

I've got both headlight assemblies from a 95 you can have for 50 bucks plus shipping. One is cracked in back from a roll over but is fixable. No cracks in the lens or body of them though. I can take pics of them and let you see if you'd like.

Has anyone heard of someone who tried to retrofit these into a pickup (which uses the regular rectangle sealed beams?) I'd love to put those in my '90 truck!

The $25 Euro Crystal Cut Housings I bought on Ebay work great in my runner, they slapped right in and the new H-4 bulbs plug right into the existing wiring. (A huge lighting improvement). I still see 'em for sale on there from time to time. I'll try and check it out and post a link for you guys.

Would your 90 grille work with new headlights? Or would you have to get a newer grille too?

the early 2nd gen models have the square sealed beam headlights, but yes they do look a little bit like the 99+ headlights

I payed $35 for one off a 1995 4 runner in the junkyard seems to be in good shape looks good however my other side looks hazy compared to it so I might just change that one out too.

I did some close looking and the grill would probably need changed, plus a few details, plus the light assemblies would need custom fabbed mounts...etc. I decided it isn't worth it to me. Would look nice though, the old squares aren't very flattering...

Flamed, hey bud these are similar to what I got and should fit right into your openings. At that price it might be worth a try. Get decent bulbs for them and you've got twice the light up front of stock.

Ya I can't wait to get back and do some winter wheelin again. I am really jealous of your 3.4l swap. I bet you must love it! If I was home to work that project myself I would have done that too. But Momma was gettin tired of bein afraid to drive the tired old motor too far from home. I let the mechanic talk me out of having him do that swap in liew of getting a stock rebuild. It's still way better than it was. I'll have this rig forever(god willing) so maybe someday they'll make an s/c for the 3.0

I've played with many of those aftermarket reflector lights in a number of vehicles now. Some are great and some are patently dangerous. I have some very cool ones in my F150, wish I could do something like that in the Yota. I'll probably do those replacement lights from ebay.

They used to make a supercharger for the 3.0. It's been discontinuted, either because the 3.0 is too old now or because they blow up when you pressurize them... They turn up from time to time on ebay and here and there...
