You talkin' Maaco quality or professional? I had my truck redone a couple years ago at a shop in Bellevue, cost for the re-paint portion of the work was ~$2000 which involved a good bit of ding and dent removal.

I'd prefer to go professional. My 4RUnner just has a lot of sap damage on the hood and cab, so I'm looking to have it redone factory grey. Also has anyone redone the fiberglass top? I'm wondering if it's possible to have it done with a gelcoat that would match the rest of the truck.

New paint

Is there any chance you could get into a night class at a vocational center??
You get your materials @ a discounted price, and you get to work w/ quality tools and a real spay booth. If your Runner is as clean as you say, painting it would be a snap!
I painted my 85 x-tra cab myself ( a few years back ) I think you'd be surprised at how easy it is.... it's all in the prep work.
Anyhow, youd save a bundle of cash!!
Hope the idea helps.

That's what I did in High School. I got to repaint my 1978 F250 and my brother-in-law's old Bronco. If you have time, I would recommend taking that route. After I get done with college, i want to take that class again.
