need help getting 22r started

need help getting 22r started

Ok so I changed my head gasket, valve cover gasket and have everything back together. It wont start. Pulled the plugs and they were shot so i replaced them. So I have spark I think I have fuel and I have air but it wont start. doesnt even sound like it wants to start. Somebody please help

Did you plug the battery back up? I thought you had a v6? Does it make any noise when you turn the key?

i dont know how to set the timing without the moter running?

Get #1 cylinder to TDC - Top Dead Center, reinstall your distributer w/the rotor pointing to the #1 cyl, After that it's a matter of turning the dist, to get your timing on!

ok so i set the dist. at the #1 cylinder and turned the engine over. Everytime I adjust it and try to start it only one cylinder fires and only once? Now im really confused :cry:

ok so when I was puttin the timing gear back on I messed up the timing between the valves and the pistons i.e. the valves were open when the engine fired. Got everthing timed right and she fired right up. Thanks to all who helped. You guys rock!!!!
