Missed out on a GREAT deal

about a week ago, i found a nice toyota 1985 sr5 truck down the road. we called the number 3 days in a row, nobody answered, and the truck disappeared. it reappeared today, and we call the number, and find out some guy is checking it out, he called 15 minutes earlier. then he told me the price: 2200$

we get there and i take a look at the truck. it has a 22RE in it, and the pickup has 96,000 ORIGINAL miles. the body had no rust on it at all, and the interior was immaculate.

to make a long story short it went to some spoiled 16 year old rich kid from a rival high school, whos dad drove a lifted pavement pounder duramax(crap) chevy. i'm sure this thing will never see offroad now, and more likely it will end up wrapped around a tree. why oh why couldn't he have bought an 86 or something with ifs

little nickel ads come out tomorrow, buy and sell on friday, so maybe i'll get lucky.

There's an 88 4Runner 5spd 4cyl 240000km with a trailmaster 3in lift, 31 BFG Mudterrains going for $1700cdn

that reminds me, i called one one just like that about a month ago, '88 sr5 5 speed for 1500...needless to say it was gone 5 minutes after the ad came out

is your first order of business going to be new springs for the sagging rear? or am I seeing things in the pic above?
