Lower links w/ Rubicon Express Super Flex Joint

I've developed a loud creak/squeak in my 99 4Runner that I think is coming from my DS lower rear link. Has anyone experienced this? I was also wondering if using a marine grade bearing grease is what is recommended. I don't want to go mixing the wrong grease in there. Thanks for the help.

Being that their poly bushings, i bet thats were the squeak comes from. Use any waterproof grease with Teflon.

By the way, how do you like those super flex joints? Any noticeable off-road improvement over the stock links?

I actually have the one's with the super flex joints on both ends, no poly bushings. I find it odd that they would squeak, but I figured greasing them up would elminate them from the equation.

They flex really nice. They give me quite a bit of travel. The tail gunner on the last run told me they were pretty flexy from what he saw from behind.

How about on the highway, how does the 4Runner behave? Is there more roll or sway?

Well I bought it the way it is now, and it certainly isn't as nimble as my stock 04 Runner, but it feels real comfortable on the highway. Definatley no high speed cornering. My wife usually drives it during the week since I have a long commute and she's very comfortable in it. It really doesn't drive like it's lifted, on 35's with those rear links to allow more flex. We're quite happy with the handling.

I just recently noticed the squeak after my last trip out. Now when we get in or out it creaks. I'll try greasing the links and see if it helps.
