I suppose we will know soon. Next week I will do the upgrade on my 02' and confirm that it does not need a resistor. I have the same diagram a bit more complex. ill post it later. I'm not noticing what specifically is different from the other third gens that make them require a resistor. Do we have an older document for a 1999 or 2000 runner?

I did order the lights from socalradiator as they are the only ones on ebay with the red and smoke for a good price. After about a hundred emails to them over the last month and receiving the wrong product I don't know what to do. The lights I received are nice but they are not what I ordered and I would like to have what I ordered. They are telling me that the right ones will be shipped but I feel like I am being strung along. What to do?

So the install of the tail lights and the 3rd brake light is complete. I am happy to report that in my 02' 4runner, I did NOT need in line resistors in order to trick the ABS light. It never came on! I will post some pics later, when i get a chance. Finishing up some work in the bay ATM.

Well as my fight continues with this ebay is going to refund my money when the wrong lights are returned to the seller. Anybody have good luck buying these on ebay, if so from who.
