Just dropped the 4Runner off at the body shop...

...for some much needed TLC. I have some spots on the roof where its been scratched down to the metal, and in particular two spots that are showing pretty bad rust. There's also a ding in the hood from a stone, and a chip in the windshield. Most if not all of this was caused a few months ago, thanks to a big freakin truck carrying cinders or stones of some sort, and not having any kind of cover over the bed.

Anyway, it will be in the shop for at least a week getting all healed up. Until then, I can read up on some upcoming mods:

1. Roger Brown sliderz, end of the month - leaning towards bolt-on rather than weld-on

2. Panhard drop bracket, same time as sliderz

3. Steering Rack Bushings

4. Mecatech CV boots

5. Inclinometers from Mike

Where are you getting your panhard bracket from? FWIW, I got mine from Steve S. for about 80 bucks.

I got mine from Danny, 'data' here on the boards. He got it originally from Steve, but never installed it.

I still haven't figured out where I'm going to take it to get it welded on. I'm probably going to order the rest of my lift this week, then I'll have to install coils, shocks, diff spacers, get the brackets on, and wait for everything to settle a little, then get front end alignment done.

I was just going to go thru the yellow pages, there's usually a good selection of certified welders to be found. But then I just decided to ask Roger about it, and he'll weld it on when we install the sliders.
