Looking for any info for specs and info onTransmission and T -case

Hello, i was just looking to get a 1985-1987 Extra-cab. I really want to find the diesel model because its rare. I was just curious to know if it shares all the same parts as the gas model as well as any other info that i could have.
Also is the 1990 Toyota extra-cab 4-cyl 22re a good choice?

if you go to 'ebay.com' and at the bottom of the page select united kingdom, then type in this 'hilux/surf' and it will have the manuals and other stuff for the toyota diesels.....
