Angry how to remove headlights on 95 4runner??? Please help quick!

Could they have made it any more difficult to take these things out, just to change the freaking headlight bulbs? I don't have the owner's manual, but if someone could just tell me how to take out the headlights, or if there's an easier way to change the bulbs...thanks. sorry if it's a noob question. :pat:

Are you sure you have to pull the head lights to change the bulbs? If you can't get your hands down to the bulbs you could pull out the battery and the airbox, all the room you'd ever need. Plus I'm sure that would be alot quicker then pulling the head lights.

I definitely can't get my hands down there. ON the passenger side, in front of the battery, there's some fluid reservoir. On the driver side, there's not an inch of room in front of the airbox. How hard is it to take the airbox out? Forgive my noobasity, I just started working on yota's . thanks a million for the reply, the 4 runner has been sitting in the driveway with the corners hanging out for a couple hours...

I found the easiest way is remove the front corner lights and the grill, then you can unbolt the light assembly. It only takes 5-10 minutes. Getting at the bulbs from the back is darn near impossible.

It's a gosh-awful design. The owner's manual tells you to remove the grill, etc. I did that a few times (my drivers side seems to go more frequently than the pass side), and after I broke one of the plastic clips for the grill I decided there had to be a better way. Instead, I just loosen the bolts that hold the coolant overflow and the air intake assembly and I can move them aside enought to get my hand in there and change out the bulb. I suppose when my passenger side goes I'll take out the battery!

It's a pretty crappy design, agreed. I ended up doing what you did, and on the driver's side, I moved the coolant overflow, and part of the airbox and just jammed my hand down there. Passenger side wasn't as bad as I though, I just had to scoot the battery over, and move the windsheild washer fluid reservoir, and I could get at it from there. But jeez, you'd think they wouldn't make it so difficult... :pat:

Thanks for the help, fellas.
