I'm a bit confused on the Pro-Comp Tacoma Lift.... Are you telling me that if one had it complete they could just slap it on, and have a safe 4" of lift up front WITHOUT breaking CV's? Could it be?!

Sure looks that way. It raises two issues though.
First, how to lift the rear. Steve did it the most straightforward way but most people do not have that sort of skill at their disposal.
The second, which may be a larger issue for Steve, is how the IFS deals with 35-37" rubber. I envision dead CV's, steering racks and woeful alignment because Steve does not appear to be afraid of much.
A couple lockers and gears will get a person farther than this kit alone.

However, lockers and carefull wheel placement will get your pretty far. Oh yeah, bring some gloves to stack rocks.
