I tried doing a search for Hi lift.. and I kept getting an error saying the word HI was too short.. and there was no finding for hilift. ANYways never mind.. the point is I did 2 searches and finally decided to just ask the silly question, forgive me if this sounds rather dumb but..

Can you use a Hilift Jack with a stock 4Runner? Everytime I see pictures of them, People are jacking up the side of their Runners with the Hilift hooked to their "Sliders" and such.. I dont have sliders so would it still be possible to use one? I hate the stock jack that came with the Rig..

As stated in other posts here, Search is down for the night.

Also, you must input at least 3 letters minmum in order for the search to work.

I personaly would not use a Hi Lift unless you have sliderz & bumpers to work with that will work.

Yes, you can use your hi-lift on a stock rig, under the following circumstances.

1. You can use it on your tow hitch bar in the back if you have one.

2. You can get one of the hi-lift curved bumper hooks to lift with (although having removed my front bumper and seen how flimsy that puppy was, I'd be really leary about that.)

3. You can use the new "lift-mate" gizmo to lift from one of your wheels (pretty well useless if you want to change a tire, but good for stuffing things under it). It's basically a strap with two hooks that go into your wheel, and loops over the jack. Well, there's a metal bit in the middle, but you get the idea.

Many people recommend using the normal bottle jack when appropriate, since the hi-lift isn't quite as stable, or as nice to a stock rig. But for off-road situations, it's more likely to work for you.

To help in the search, since I've done this particular one a lot lately, look for "hi-lift" or "hilift" and you'll get lots of hits.
