Help Just cleaned engine bay and it runs very rough now
I degreased my engine bay today, came out great i might add, however, on the drive home from my friends, i got a flashing CEL and it started running very rough, the rpm wouldn'd stay constant. To me that seems like the comp. So i looked in the air box and there was a little water in the bottom and part of the air filter was a little wet. I dryed out the air box and let the air filter dry for a while. I unplugged the battery to reset the comp. Is there anything i should be trying? Thanks. Im gonna go check and see how it works now that the comp is cleared.

I am assuming when you sprayed it off the engine was cold.
Check the distributor cap, might have water in it.
If compressed air is available I would blow out all the sensor connections like TPS, distributor, O2.

its almost like its miss firing or something. It idles rough, then set smooth then rough again, its fine ~2500rpm without being in gear. But it wont come down from 2000 slowly. It just drops like a rock from 2000- ~1000.

You should have OBDII so you will need a code reader. Autozone will let YOU use thiers for free. You have to hook it up and everything cause they want no liabillity for your vehicle but its not that hard.

WD-40 is your friend.. I would start with the coil connectors and go from there. Just pull them off, spray WD-40 into the connector (which disperses the water) and plug it back in.
