Help with fixing rearview mirror base

From an ealier post, I broke off my rearview mirror. I see I broke a bracket, but can't figure how to get the base off. I have attached two photos.

On the first one, I have removed the two screw that I have marked in blue. the clip that broke is broken off is marked in red. That is the piece I need to replace. It's where the mirrior was attached.

The 2nd photo is the full assembly and it looks like I need to take off the light panel to get to another screw. Can anyone help me in how I get the assembly off to take off the piece I broke in photo 1, marked in red.

Thanks

Yeah - you need to take off the opaque light panel to access a screw. Take a small flathead screwdriver and pry off the panel. You will see a slight indentation by the sun roof switch to insert the head of the screwdriver into.
