Wow, grow up. You honestly sound like a whiny 17 year old. Seriously, not everyone in the world is out to challenge you. He was just curious as to how you have such a high deductible... it is bizarrely high... but that in no way means you are lying... no one thinks that.

Anyway, chill the heck out and good luck with the repair. I really do hope it all works out. It always sucks to have this happen. My 04 IS300 got sideswiped the other day while I was at work... I understand the frustration.

I work for a public insurance coporation....smacked 2 deer last June.... 10G's $$ damage...they fixed it. If I were in a Jimmy or Blazer....it would have been a total loss. I can't see it being a write-off....but not too sure how insurance in the USA works.

Runs fine, no fluid leaks, no shakes or shimmies but the alinement seems to be off. Wonder if the repair shop object to putting on a TJM or ARB vs. OEM?
Because it is an insurance issue I don't think a repair shop will put an ARB or TJM on it but you can probably work something out that you just keep the extra money and they give it back to you with no front bumper and you can do it yourself. Thats probably the only way you could edn up with a new bumper. I would go for it!

Sooo i'd effing beat that driver down with my Mag light. Even if truck is "totaled" buy off the insurance company. Get a custom bumper and fenders. All thats left is the door....I can't even imagaine the pain your going though.

death cougar, yes. but tomorrow i'm going to get an estimate from a diff shop that i know does good work and is cheaper and i'm thinking about cashing out. taking the $3,800 and having the other shop fix it, since i will be paying for it i can tell them not to replace the scoffed rims, chipped headlight, etc so it should come out under 3,800 leaving me with enough $ for a tjm or arb (that i can pick up in kent). what do you think??

again, thanks guys for the kind words. i'm still not looking forward to the hassle but i am looking forward to hopefully having a better rig when its all over.

That was exactly the attitude I had when my 4Runner got smashed up. Fixing it didn't bother me because I focused on the fact that it would be better afterwards. After the repairs were done, it does look a lot better

Don't worry, all will be well.

If i were to lose my runner, 1 thing i would pull off: My Rear Diff. I have the Locker from factory on and i LOVE IT! It's one thing i love. Jeeps might flex but what good is flex if you dont have traction?
