Question Is this a good price on a magnaflow???

Hi all. I have decided to get a magnaflow stainless steel muffler for my 03 4Runner SportEdition V6. But I need some expert advice . I received a price quote from a local shop in my area of $380 installed which included the street series part #14833 with all parts included. I'm not sure if this is right for me. I explained that I wanted my truck to have a smooth deep tone but not so loud that I could be heard a block away. I also did not want it to be loud at crusing speeds. I told him I wanted a tip, so thats why he recommended this muffler with the built in tips. Is this a good choice and price? Or is there other setups which will suit me better.

Also, what does it mean when people say a droaning or resonating sound? Is this like a high or low pitch sound or something different? Thanks.

Mine is on a 2nd Gen, so this may not help you, but I had a Magnaflow installed with 2.25" aluminized piping from the cat-back, plus a nice tip, all installed for $150. I was happy to say the least!

Check out www.bigexhaust.com for your Magnaflow. I just ordered mine from them and am waiting for it to arrive. I've got a 2002 SR5 and ordered part # 11225. I'll post pics when it's installed...
