I say leave em black. It will contrast nicely with your rigs color. I have the same flares but on a blue truck so I matched them.

They are the widest aftermarket flares for the 89-95 toys. The cut-outs don't actually have any cutting involved. They flare the same but are pop riveted around the edge.

If anything else get the fibreglass offroad fenders from Downey, Fabtech, etc...

The others use the factory holes that the stock fender trim used to attach to and 3m tape around the edge that rests against the paint.

Don't forget to remove them once a year to check for, and avoid, rust.

I didn't and I need a new drivers fender although you can't see anything yet as it is still under the lip of the flare.

I'm in the same boat with my maroon Runner. I'd like to paint them to be different but less with off roading I think the flat black plastic will be better.

black for a trail rig look, painted for an uptown look. also, paint them if you like having to retouch them when they get chipped/scratched.

Well I took the advice and didn't have them painted, I didn't even ask the guy at the paint shop because it took him almost 3 days to get my truck wet sanded and buffed, it was only supposed to take 6 hours. The did the same thing last time, supposed to only take a week, ended up taking 2 and a half weeks, not to mention not doing things that he said he would do. I'm done with them. Anyway, here are some pics of the flares on, we put them on last night. The only thing I don't like about them is the adhesive that they seal on at the top, in some places it could have been thicker to seal a little better, like on the gas door, I swear its gonna fall off here in the next 6 months.

Damn, those look good.

Can somebody photoshop that truck white? I'd like to see how they'd look on my truck. After seeing how good they look, I want 'em.

I can have a crap mocked up version of a different truck with the same flares in about 4-5 mins. I'll have it up in about 4-5mins.

EDIT: Take that back, I didn't save the psd file it would take a little longer, I'll see what I can do though.

EDIT: Man I did it with my truck and another but I can't remember how i did it someone else is gonna have to work on it.

If using for off-road...leave 'em black.

If using mainly for on-road use...then paint 'em.

Thanks Krash. Better than I could do!

I think I'm gonna start saving my pennies- I like the look of them on white paint, too.

Again, your truck looks great with them!

Thanks, Yeah too bad 4wheel parts isn't having that sale they had a couple weekends back. They had 10% off all internet orders and free freight. I think they still have free freight. I like the flares makes the wheels not stick out as much as they used to. My favorite pic =
