ext cab swap?
ive got an 84 standard cab, and was wondering if anyone has attempted to swap to an extended cab? the only thing is, ive also got a short box so i dont even know if it would be possible...

i dont think that it would work because the frame "kicks up" right after the back of the cab, so there would be no room for the extra cab length, unless you extend the frame (which i wouldnt do) unless its a strictly a wheelin rig, too much liability

There are a couple SWB X-cabs out there. Brian Ellinger at FRORFab has one. You will have to cut the box of course, and possibly notch the new cab. Nothing too difficult really. Get new rear body mounts from the dealer or fab some up yourself.
