Exhaust Work in San Antonio?

Is anyone here is from the San Antonio area? I want to get some work done on my muffler and would like to know if anyone has a place they use and trust. I want to replace the OEM muffler only at this time, unless adding a high flow cat is inexpensive enough.

Any help is appreciated.

Darrell

go to any of the huge yellow muffler shops, you cannot miss them... they dont charge much at all and do a good job.

I got a muffler and 2.5 inch exhaust put on at anthony's planet pickup. It's been on there for about 4 months and so far no problems. So an aftermarket muffler install should be allright from them, but they sucked at bending the custom pipe.

Anthonys wanted 250 for Magnaflow, Alamo Performance was around 200, and a shop down the street from me in New Braunfels that I have never looked at twice only wants 150 for a Flowmaster 50 series.

I thought I could get it cheaper, but most everywhere was around 200.

Thanks for your help.

Hmm, Is the quote from Anthonys just for installing a muffler?? They installed a muffler and did 2.5 inch pipe for me for about $280. When I was looking for exhaust a few places quoted me between $100 and $150 for just the muffler, so you might be able to find it cheaper.

Hey, you might also wanna check out a Jardine cat-back. I've heard some good things on here about it. I think you can get the whole cat-back for about $200-$300 and possibly install it yourself. If I was to do it all over again, I would have either tried out the jardine or just gotten a muffler with the stock pipe.
