Okay, me will try two NEW worm-gear hose clamps. If it leaks, I'm holding YOU responsible 96 Runner!

The water-proofing sounds nifty!

Why was I inside? Well... It took me over an hour to get 6 miles home from work. With all of the people out there freaking out, I figured I'd get hit by someone before I ever got to enjoy it. Then the snow got so heavy, that some places were actually ordering people to stay home just so emergency and city vehicles could get through.

At the end of it - 41" of snow, with drifts up to 6 feet. In Denver! It took 3 hours of shoveling yesterday just to get to where I could get the rig out. But I made good use of the locker and 4low yesterday pulling other lesser vehicles out of huge amounts of snow and slush/water, and having fun driving around where the minivans dare not tread.

Managed to get a 4runner stuck for the first time in my life (been driving them in snow and off road for 9 years now, between my own and my dad's). One thing about the awesome 4wd capability, is that when you use it and manage to bury yourself, you don't have a lot of options left. We were trying to get to this car that was about 7 feet into a snowbank, and I was knocking it down progressively closer and closer so as to avoid shoveling 7x10feet of snow. I got a little happy with it I guess, and tried to take out too much at once instead of a little at a time, after getting about 4 feet into it... :pat: High centered the crap outta that thing! Though my undercarriage is scrubbed clean from the snow now. heh. I made the person I was pulling out dig out the runner too... I was fairly impressed with how well it did though, even with semi-bald tires.

I was wishing I had the $$ to get those MTR's from Darren a month ago however, that would have been a lot of fun playing around in this stuff! Snow? Bah. Bring it.

I also got to play in that snow storm only I live in Cheyenne Wyoming. This is my first 4runner, and first snow storm with this vehicle. It was great I couldn't stop smiling as I drove around town. I think my wife thinks I'm crazing. I love my 4runner
