I have searched and haven't found out much. I am about to embark on my 5" suspension lift/3 inch body lift and 37's on the truck. I have 5.29 gears coming. I drive a good deal with the truck city and highway. What will be different about driving now that I am 8 inch's up with 37's??? I also have dual steering stabilizers to install.
Gas Mileage?...get around 23-24 now
handling?..handles ok now
top speed...and how does it do getting there???

I am planning on an intake/header/exhuast in the future to help move these tires better..

I do not have 37's, but my guess is that if you have to ask these questions, you should not be running that much rubber.

Mileage will degrade, so will braking, accelerating and clutch wear if you have a stick.

not to mention IFS w/ 37's aint gonna work too well on the trails. lotsa breakage

ok...then...thanks for the help. I think I am going to sell the 37's...buy 33's, and just do the suspension lift. Thanks for the fast response....you think my new idea is better??

you had 33's with a 22RE and 5.29's? how did it do? i will be doing the same in the spring but might just go with 4.88's thanks cody

5.29s might be too steep for 33s, 4.88s would probably be better

37s would should be ok..... mileage will go to hell though, gotta imagine lots more wind resistance, lots more rolling resistance, a couple extra hundred pounds of wieght.....

5.29's are fine for 33's and larger. I run them with 33's and a 3.4

I would not sweat breakage as much as alignment. That is a lot of weight for IFS. I toast an idler every other trip with 33's.

yeah, but you also have an auto

i'd even go as far as saying 4.56s will work fine for 33s, as long as you have a manual tranny.
