Many who have the 5 spoke alloys don't seem to have any balancing issues. I have the 3 spoke alloys and they were a problem to balance, the shop had to do it twice and that was a dealership using a Hunter machine. I originally had the steel rims and they were never a problem to balance, so it mostly seems to be the 3 spoke alloys. Therefore I would say if you get any OEM alloy other than the 3 spoke it should not be a big problem. On a side note when I replaced my tires recently Sears had no problems balancing the 3 spoke rims the first time, so maybe it's just the dealers who suck.

It is the design of the truck to be lug-centric so you will not be escaping the issue by changing. Have you had problems with different sets of tires? Are you sure it is a tire balance problem?
