Dash lights not working - Boost Gauge Install??????
so I hooked up a boost gauge the other night. I tapped into the wires that go to the dash light dimmer and hooked them up to my gauge, it worked great for a day, but after I relized there was a kink in the air line, I ripped it apart and the lights to the gauge stopped working. After replacing bulbs and checking connections, the regular dash lights stopped working. I've tried tracing lines to figure out if there's a short, but cant find anything.
The (gauge) fuse is good.
Haynes manual isnt telling me much on the wiring diagram.
Not sure what to do from here....any help or advise is appreciated.
Also, has anyone used something other than the plastic air hose included in the boost gauge kit? I'd like to replace it with something that does not kink so easily..
Thanks!
Trevor

Sounds like that is the problem, be carefull in there. Go back and look for blown fuses, loose grounds, plugs not pluged together tight. Are you sure you wired it to the dimmer right?
Might try a vac hose unstead of the plastic hose, or just be more carefull with your routing. Slow down and do it right.
