cooler plugs?

I've got TRD S/C on my '02 4runner. I don't think there is any other fuel mods done to the truck as I bought it that way, but I'm not sure. I have noticed ping from time to time at low RPM, not good. I wonder if cooler plugs would be of any help to reduce the chance of ping. Anyone here try cooler plugs without any ill effects?

You won't have any "ill effects" from chaning to some Iridium IK-22's or the like, but it probably won't do much to help (and definitely won't help high-end lean out).

Go with the 7th injector, or the URD fuel Upgrade Kit. That'll fix it. and do some searching, midiwall says the VB work for the tranny is a must, hes on his third tranny, and thats not good...so make sure you ask around.

There's no quick cheapo fix for what you're talking about. Either the URD fuel upgrade (preferable) or the 7th injector (you'll still need to buy the fuel pump and piggyback controller too) should solve your issue.....and do the VB upgrade or it may cost you a tranny later as well.

I'll most likely go with the URD upgrade, I've been eyeing that for some time now. I was however thinking of heading down to Autozonekragenpepboys to get some cooler plugs to see if it would help at all.

Sorry man, colder plugs are only one small part of a bigger required upgrade... I doubt you'll see any changes.
