I went and checked out the 2004 4Runners yestarday and my most favorite part of the car was the dash and center console. My question is in two parts, (A) what do you guys think if I were to put the 2004 console and dash into my 1999 4Runner SR5? And (B), how much do you think a conversion like this would cost?

I'm thinking you mean 2003. Anyway. Good luck in trying to make it fit. They are 2 totally different vehicles. Might as well buy a new '03 than convert since it would cost thousands to do any type of conversion. Just about everything on the '03 is different than the 3rd gen Runners. I don't think anything would match up.

maybe you can try new style heater knobs, face, and backlighting. i like the bright white instrument panel lighting in the new cars. are you able to change all the backlights to a white color with new bulbs?
