Clock Stopped Working

On my 2000 4runner my clock stopped working for a little bit and then it will come back on. It doesn't matter if its night or day it appears that just happens every once in a while.

Has anyone else had this problem with there clocks?

Thanks

This happened with my 01 prerunner. I think it has to do with a loose connection because when I opened up the dash and pressed certain wires up and toward the clock, it seemed to come on.

This is actually pretty common for our vehicles. Mine stopped working and I tried to check all the connections, there really is nothing loose though. I could get it to come on by tapping it but that was about it. I had to go to a junk yard. If you want a good laugh, go to the dealership and ask how much for a new clock....$300+

Check ebay too.

Was there an erie quiet and a painfully bright white light from above? Did mailboxes start shaking and things flew around inside the car on their own? Was your beer cooler empty afterwards?...

Ive had the same problem. It will randomly come on once in a while, but for the most part it is dead. It really bugs me, but not enough to pay for a new one. I think there is a correlation between my clock dying and the lights behind the HVAC controls. Those go off intermittently as well. Don't know why that happens either

Tapping doesn't work for mine, it just has a mind of it's own. I did check with the stealership and they wanted 272.00 plus tax I was like nevermind that's why I have a radio. I will check ebay and the connections to make sure all it well and then report back.
