Check out this video when u get a chance

I made a video of our trip to Paragon 9-26-04 and I want to see if you guys are going to have any trouble viewing it.

It's of Jackson in his 96 black 4runner, Greg (4 tHE HARD WAY) in his 88 monster 4Runner, Nic (94yotarunner)in his white 94, TiTRD in his 99' Tacoma and Ken in his green Jeep. Oh yea , Im in there with my 97
The problem is that the file is kind of huge at 386MB and you will need to save it to your computer for it to run. (Please save it first, so that Jackson's site doesn't crash - he was nice enough to host it)

Let me know if this works - for those of you patient enough to wait for the download.
SAVE IT TO YOUR COMPUTER

380MB? You need to compress that thing.

How?
I made a version at a lower quality and it was about 100MB less in size, but it was a piece of ˟˟˟˟˟. The video was choppy and granular and the audio was delayed.
DAMN, I really want you guys to see this thing

I'll have to try again.

I am on 56k, so I am not going to download it, but try compressing it in either DIVX or maybe try some different MPEG formats. Maybe take a short clip and try compressing it in different formats to see what is small in file size but still has an acceptable quality.

The software is called Sonic. I'll have to try some other options. I thought maybe there was a way to post it and have it buffer as you watch it.

You can also open up the vid in Microsoft's Movie Maker and make a new vid with it.
You then have tons of options on compression, and you can get that thing lowered way down, and saved to the wmv format.

That is how I make vids for my website.
My Sony digicam only takes mpgs.

When I want to splice together several vids, add my voice, music, extra pics, ect...
Movie Maker to the rescue.
Best thing is it is free.

Sweet. I have it on my computer, so I'll give it a try this weekend.
Thanks

i downloaded it, took an hour, saw it. Pretty cool vid. Very high quality and good choice of music. However it just seemed to be the same things over and over. Still, I like it!

Thanks Rob. I wish I had more good footage to add to it. It was kind of a stretch when it came to action shots and I was trying to be fair to everyone in the group. If I wasn't driving, I would have taken much more video because there is SOOO much I missed. Actually I would love to just film Greg's 88'. That thing is freaken nuts.
