Carnage at "Monsters on the beach"
I was in VA beach this weekend and stumbled upon the Monster Truck event held annually on the beach.
Well, you ain't gonna get to watch better mayhem, carnage and distruction for $10.
The people watching was incredible....
7 or 8 of the big boys were ther and those truck sure do sound nice...also 6 second full throttle runs down the beach were very impressive. The air they get is amazing
The best part was the amatuers in what they call "Tough trucks"
16 owners paid to destroy there vehicles over a pair of jumps.
The most spectacular being a modified S-10 running 33's that landed from a huge jump (trying to win his heat race) and just stopped where it landed. Front axle snapped clean in two at the diff housing, front and rear driveshafts sheared, rear spring carrier sheared. 3 of 4 wheels were nearly flat on the sand....best part is, all the driver could do was play to the
crowd .
He drove it there and judging by the fender angles, the frame was bent so he would not drive it home or ever again
The winner was an amazing Samuri running probably 33's and had a lot of motor...this guy was fast and really solid coming don of big airs.
There were a lot of show trucks with huge lifts but I doubt any ever saw off road duty..they looked pretty fragile.
I am such a redneck..

Yeah, I went to a monster truck show and it was awesome. Talk about some power, those trucks have plenty of it. It was awesome. I would recommend it to anyone! :fireman:
