Smile Camping Sleep Deck 3gen

I just spent $40 on supplies for this deck i built today. Im going to use it to camp this weekend with my buddies. I thought it would be warmer in my 4runner than in a tent. Texas winters are pretty mild but i will still be more comfortable. im not going to post a How-To because there are many on this forum. Also the wood work is a little sloppy, storm was coming in and had to finish quick. Any suggestion, or comments questions?

get a roll of, and cut out some fiberglass mosquito door screen
big enough to cover the rear liftgate gasket across the back

shut liftgate, crack rear window down 2-4 inches...sleep like that
critters stay out, moisture doesn't build up
otherwise it'll get wet inside

That looks really good. It looks like you will be able to pull it out when you need to without too much trouble. I don't see any braces in the middle portion of the platform - maybe they're just hidden from view. I started out with a simple cargo platform and I've modified it a couple of times - now it's split and hinged for easy access. I've been toying with the idea of a full-length platform like yours since I work out of my 4Runner these days.

Enjoy camping!

Nice work. I like the way you braced the front section on the floor rather than the backs of the folded down seat (better for the seat back IMO). I'd brace the middle section if you haven't already. I've gotta do one of these soon.

Why didn't you just run a larger board at the back for support instead of the three individual pegs...?
