Question A/C Question

I was in an accident and I'm repairing it myself. I was wondering if anybody could tell me how to let the freon out of my 85 sr5 4x4 without damaging any extra parts that i dont need to replace. Any input would be welcome. thanks.

Call an air conditioning shop and have it recovered from your system. You won't believe how much it will cost to refill. R12 is what it had origonally. and it is what was damaging the ozone so bad.

Yea, that stuff costs like $60 a pound and a full system has a lot more than that in it.
