BOB Center console question...

Hey Bob, i've read your center console writeup a few times, and finally got myself a 99 console. When i had it pulled I had the yard pull the rear bracket and the E-brake handle also.

I installed everything in about 30 minutes, and it was a huge success. but i have a question. In your writeup, you trimmed the bottom of the console to match the contours of the old one, and trimmed the braces on the bottom of the console. Did you do the trimming so it matched? or did yours not fit. Mine just dropped into place with no trimming.

Steve

BTW Awesome info..

steve,

isn't it so nice to have a working cupholder?

glad it worked out for you. geez, 30 minutes!!?? mine was...oh, a few hours!

yes, i did trim the shell itself to match the original 98 profile. i dont have the heater so maybe thats why i needed to trim it.

anyways, good to hear another successful cupholder mod.
