Big Bad Blue got new upper ball joints tonight

Well my good buddy Mike (MikeT223) and I held a mod day for our offroading club BUT we were the only to attend. No biggy we got my ball joints installed today. Two weeks ago I was showing off jumping my 4runner down at the dunes. Well the ball joints (uppers) didn't hold up to that stress. The boots blew out and were ready to die. Well here are a couple pics.

I actually thought about jumping in on your group buy but didnt have the
$150 for 1.5" Rear downey spacers
$100 for BJ spacers
&
$100 for upper and lower ball joints.

Its been on my mind but no sure plans to lift my rig another inch & a half. I would then have 8.5 total inches of lift and move up to 37s

Too bad they don't make HD ball joint boots that's usually all that happens to them is the boots fail but at $50 a pop they aren't cheap to replace.
Make sure you get some aisin manual hubs first before you get ball spacers or your CV's will not like you much...

Been cool stuff. See your still drinking that green beer. Was that very hard to do? Oh ya and I really don't think you need anymore lift!

I hooked up with a company in Canada called Arm-Can Auto Parts. Local individual ball spacers go for $50 each. These guys in Canada sell in pairs for $37.99 and the parts seem to be of good quality. Check out my other thread about this. https://www.yotatech.com/forums/show...889#post322889

I am still drinking green beer but not what we I had at the ClearWater Saloon last time you were here. That was Green Light and it sucked. Rolling Rock is much better! The ball joint job was much easier than I thought it would be. I dont see how you can do the job without a pickle fork tool. I wish I had the money to get in on that ball joint spacer group buy. I want it higher. It sucks to be building a rig and you look at it and say to yourself "its not tall enough". I guess you get used to how high it is every time you lift it. Im bored with how high it is. I think lifting it another 1.5" is safe being recently I upgraded my wheels to the 10" wide Pro Comp Rock Crawlers. My stance is much wider. Who knows, lifting isnt going to happen til some time down the road. its time for me to look into getting an apartment. $575 a month is killing me and the mods list.
