Best was to flush?

Well I took the radiator off to do some frame work and when I was doing this I drianed it and the coolant seemed brownish coming out of the bottom hose and the top hose (from engine) I know this means oil in the block, my head gasket is blown, to replace is one of the things to do on my list. My question is how bad is it to have oil in the block and what is the best way to flush it or the easiest? I did not drain the block just the rad, I know theres a nob on the block to drian it but is it better if I flush it out?

Thanks,
Mario

just because the coolant was a brownish color does not mean that you have oil in the water, the brownish color just means that the cooling system has been neglected in the past and the coolant has lost its anti rust properties and now the water passages in your block are rusting and turning the water brown. i would take off the t-stat housing and t-stat and flush down through the block, and also take off one of the heater hoses and flush that out too, then install a new t-stat, gasket and refill
