The madness begins. I have been reading this board for over a year, researching every little thing that I want to do. I dropped off my 4Runner at Armorology in CO Springs a while back and here is the results of Jed's work. He does such a fantastic, detailed job and is incredibly nice to work with. I had him build a rear bumper, with contours to upgrade to fit a 285/75 spare tire underneath. While it was there, I had him powdercoat some Trail Gear sliders to match the rear bumper and the TJM bumper up front.

I am pretty pleased with the turnout. I am dropping off my truck next week to get 4.88's and dual ARB lockers. I will install the SS 1.2 OEM lift that I bought a while back, and throw on some new meats.

me thinks it looks really good, i wish i could have that. looks like its gonna be a real mean offroad machine with the new gears, lockers, and tires. Good job and keep us updated.

Talked to Jed about what he was working on lately. So you are one of the many 4runners in his shop...Welcome to the Armorology 'family'...Good thing you got it done. I hear that he is booking out FAR ahead. That thing looks like a museum piece and it is the baddest bumper out there. Again, well done .

Looks good. You'll probably find out that even with the lockers, bumpers, sliders, gears, lift, and tires that you'll eventually get stuck on the low-hanging spare tire...

I saw your museum peice in the shop when I was there last week! If for some reason you are up at the shop, you can see my baby! It is the ugly silver and black one. Nice bumper, I cant wait for my tire carrier and bumper so I can drive it all the way back to Missouri!

i like the bumper its very smooth. I've seen some of armorology work on a taco and it gave a very good first impression of the company.

i also like the idea that you're waiting to bang out everything you ever wanted to do. I wish i had that kind of patience and ability to save for such a long time. in a matter of weeks or months you'll be stock to potentially moab ready. that's just crazy.

I'm from Lawrence, KS and was surprised to hear that a lot of Armorology's business comes from KS/MO.

I was out on Trail Gear and looking at their sliders. Looking at the installation instructions (http://www.trail-gear.com/rocksliders-install.html) I get the hang of it, but on step 2 and 4 there is:
"(skip this step if you purchased fully welded sliders)"

Does that mean they are cut to size and ready to be installed, or do you still have to fit them per your 4Runner? For someone who doesn't have access to pipe cutters and welders, is there a way to buy them ready to be bolted\welded on the frame? Or is each installation unique and it needs to be fit to how your truck sits on the frame?

Is it just me or do your sliders seem a little short? There looks like a pretty big gap there in the back.
