really? i take it you had to make your own brackets? or modify the acura ones? I've always liked the rsx/ s2000 seats so if it's not to difficult i may start searching for those again. If you could post pictures that would be awesome.

i will post pics up in a bit. It was not easy at all. i had to remove 16 seat tower/footings and then screw the toyota footings to the acura seats/rails.
So 1st. Measure all the rails. compare the size of rails on new acura seats to the 4runner seats so you know how to mout the footings. 2nd. remove all footing making sure to label them as you go. A drill, hacksaw, a bunch of drill bits will all be needed to remove acura footings. They are welded, spot welded and riveted. PIT ASS 3rd. re install toyota footings on acura seatrails and the seat belt too. I had to use 7 washers for spacing the seat belt out. In the end all worth it! 200 dollars for seats and 7 bucks in hardware from Home DePot. pics below show stock seat side by side and the beginning of footing removal. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() With hard work, drilling, sawing and hammering these brackets WILL come off. ![]() ![]() ![]() now for the final pics... ![]() ![]()

I like those seats they look good. Nice work. Looks like you can now comfortably take some hard corners. Height is the same since you modified the new seats with Toyota's existing rails?

I am n ot sure that acura rails and toyota rails are interchangeable. Removed and replaced the footings holding the rails up off the floor. Raises height about an inch. I am only 5'10 anyways. is this considered a 3rd gen mod?

Ah I see now kept the footings and modified them to the acura rails...probably some fab work to keep the height stock after the install instead of an inch higher? I'm sure If I did this to my Taco my head would be brushing the top...

I always liked these seats. I did say I would have to swap them into some car I had. This may be a plausible aoption for me. I guess I'll be keeping an eye out for a cheap set of these sets!

tell us a bit about why you picked those seats please. Lumbar control is that dial on the side ? the leather(?) coloring almost perfectly matches your rear seats?
nothing power- like it is not heated is it? which keeps it simpler of course... nicely done and way to stick with it I would think the average person would never even notice those weren't stock front seats.
