Nuetral, stopped, 4-hi, then 4-low, then drive and go! If already in 4-hi, then stop, put in nuetral, then shift to 4-low. When shifting out of 4-wheel drive, it's always good to shift into reverse and then back into drive before taking off in 2-wheel drive. This should (in most cases) competely shift your vehicle out of 4-wheel drive. If you don't do this, it may hold for a short time. Probably not major either way, though. I just like to make sure it's out, you know?
