4WD Light Blinking
Hi Y'All,
I've got a problem with my 4WD that I'm hoping some of you may be able to help me with. The 4WD light (on the push button actuated system) blinks when I put it on, and the 4WD isn't engaging. Any help figuring this out is appreciated? Thanks in advance,
Doug

I'll check the vacuum hoses tomorrow. I think based on the latest posts that I will be able to figure out the routing. As for the specifics, '95 Taco V6 SR5. It has about 260K km. I've never had any issues wrt to the 4WD yet. All of the posts related to vacuum hose leaks never pointed out a blinking light, so I thought maybe that was a tell tale sign of sorts (i.e. electrical maybe). Anyhow, there it is.

I have a similar problem with my 02 4R with the push button engage on t-case lever. It is intermittent and very frustrating. Occasionally if I choose to engage 4hi - it'll blink and never actually engage. Then the entire system becomes unresponsive, and it may continue blinking for days. Out of the blue, it'll engage and work as intended. It's been extremely frustrating, I've posted about it here but it's a phantom and only affects 01-02 years - I believe. Some have pointed to actuator solenoids in the t-case, but as far as I know, nothing definitive has been blamed.
What I've come to find out about your year, however, is that it is most likely due to a faulty vacuum line. I'd start there.
