Ok so I did abunch of reading and found no posts with this combo of misfire.

I have 99' 4runner with 182k and an aftermarket supercharger. My gas cap says premium only but I'm a little cheep but always run plus.

I delt with cylinders 1 & 3 last fall and about $1000 later my rig ran like a champ. Now with 1.5 hour commute I decided to get a new car and give over my 4runner to the MR. Not even a month later it's running like total s*** again and come to find out he's been putting unleaded in it.

Anyway now I have a flashing engine light between 40-50mph, hard shaking of rig, large amount of white,thick and rich smelling exaust, and definitely lack of power. Codes said misfire in cylinder 4 & 5. Could this be related to the fuel?

Everything done in last year: 3 belts replaced, intake & fuel injection clean, MAF replaced, both o2 sensors, fuel filter, all plugs, some wires and 2 coil packs.

I know some stuff but not a ton. Just looking for some clues and help before going and paying the mechanics that just screw me over cause I'm a girl

I would imagine that give the info provided, you have a head gasket leak, even though I suspect it is Cylinder 3 & 5 misfiring.

Has there been a loss of coolant?

Actually yes, I usually have to check it every few weeks. Sometimes just the overflow res is empry but lately I've been having to fill the radiator too. I'll look into it thanks!
