Adrian- My upper links are actually solid. I got some tubing that the stock links would fit righ inside of, then I put a few plug welds down the length of it to tie it all together. These should not bend at all. The lower links are done in the same manner, but obviously aren't solid.
Anthony- I'm not talking about the lip on the gas tank bending......my upper links bent. That's why I cut that part out of my tank. No it's out of the way of the links and I can move it back up to the body. I weighed out the options of lifting it or moving it back to where you have yours, but thought it would effect the departure angle.
Cebby- I know what you're getting at and I wish that I could move both the upper and lower links making them longer like most 4 link kits. I don't think that you could just make the lower ones longer.....that much longer that is without binding up at some point. I could be wrong though.

The reason I swapped lowers was strength. The reason I swapped uppers was to adjust the pinion angle for the duals.
AP has a product that puts a person right at the limits of this suspension. Going farther out of bounds sounds like trouble to me. If you are going through the hassle of redesigning part of it, you ought to redesign all of it, IMHO.
Good luck in making it work. Anthony is really at the limits of height and travel with stock mounting places and he only has new links and coils. I hope to have a 3-link when it is time to get taller and ditch all of the stock stuff.
