How about side exit, just in front of the tire and trailing arm bracket on the frame? That is where I plan on routing mine when I get my welder. Only drawback is I will have to move/replace the glasspack I have in there right now with something else. I think it would look sharp. It appears not to be too bad for bashing risk in that spot. Fumes could be an issue for the rear passenger side window though...

Another thing to consider is if you are planning on mounting the 285's on the stock rims you may have some rubbing with the upper a-arms.

I have some Landcruiser alloys to mount the 285's on. They are 16x8". They have the exact same backspacing as the stock 16x7" alloys...
