3rd gen budget lift

my cousin is wanting to raise his 97 4runner about 2 inches. what would be the cheapest way out for him? and where to buy it? thanks

rodger brown body lift for about $150 would be the cheapest way to lift 2"

Cheap is relative, but I raised mine 2.5-3" w/ the OME stuff and it was less than $600 and road well.

Try the "Lift FAQ" thread as there is lots of stuff there and then look on SS's website as he's tried it all and has gotten various results.

Or you could try using the "search" button ya

There is no such thing as a Roger Brown body lift, it is 4crawler Off-road Body Lift, as Roger has corrected us on that ya goat herder!

whatever...

the OME stuff is up to about $700 now...

you can also do the tundra lift for about the same price, or you can be patient and pick up some used stuff for much cheaper...

there's also the daystar stuff that will run you about $300 IIRC.

there is bunch of 3rd gen suspension stuff in the For sale section.Tundra coils, billies, OME. Check it out

remember too that a budget lift also includes bigger tires

your best deal (simplicity + time + ride quality included) seems to be performaceproducts.com's 1" lift springs. they really measure to about a 1.5" lift.
