3rd Gen 4Runner or LX450???
I've some how got myself into liking the LX450/Landcruiser. But I'm not sure I'm willing to give up my more powerful/faster SC'd 4Runner. I like the LX450's size, rugged style, and abilities. Gas mileage is also an issue, but I'm already used to getting 12MPG.
Which would you rather have?

I had a '95 Landcruiser, and now I have a '97 Runner.
I find the Runner more comfortable. I'm 6'3", and the Runner has more legroom than the Landcruiser/LX450. The newer Landcruiser/LX470 is much more comfortable than the older models.
It was cool having true four-wheel drive (factory lockers front, and rear), but my three wheel drive (E-locker in the Runner), works pretty good too.
Buy whatever works best for you, they're both reliable.

I think you're considering this because sometimes it's nice for a change - something refreshing. I don't think it's as complex as it needs to sound. They're all good solid rigs.

i have a small obsession with lc's too... but everytime i take into consideration the extra cost and loss of power and agility, i am glad i have a beautiful runner.
