2nd gen folks with factory roof rails...quick measurement
Any 2nd gen folks with factory roof rails....
Can someone give me some rough measurements.
1. How long are the rails mounted to the roof (the rails, not the cross bars)
2. How far apart are they ?
3. How far from the FRONT of the roof (windshield) do they start.
Many thanks
David

I am going to pick up the Yak rails with the blind nuts that fit without removing the headliner. The cheapest online retailer of Yakima product happnes to be based in my home town so no shipping cost.
How far forward/back did you mount them and did you get the long ones ?
Thanks again,
David

I got the shortest set, I think they are 48" I was concerned about the moonroof parts. PM me your e-mail and I will take photos/ measurements at lunch time (1hour) and e-mail the stuff over.
FYI the longest rails 60" do not have the special nuts.
The nuts were easy to install.
I can upgrade to the next size by drilling 2 more holes.
I used the crease as a reference point, I also had no problems installing where I did, ie no interference.
You will be happy with the yak!
