2nd gen 2wd auto body lift questions?

Yes, I've searched, and am curious since my runner is 2wd, am I gonna have any other problems installing a 3 inch body lift aside from having to chop up the air box?

Ever done a BL before? Might get a buddy to help you spot you as you lift it and keep an eye on those brake lines. REMOVE the battery cables from the battery or they may break the posts like mine. Do NOT pull up on the neck of the radiator when lifting it up onto the new brackets or it may break like mine did. I have never seen a 2nd gen with an auto that is only 2wd get a BL. Are you getting it from RB? If so make sure you listen to him being he knows his chit. I know the trans bracket for the 4wd mount to the transfer (errr I think). Other wise its easy. have fun and take pics for us when your done. Ben

i have a 4x2 pickup 1985 that idid a 3" bl on... i need to replace a few things because of it, some of the front brake hardlines seem to be partially crimped and i dont like the way it looks although it still functions, also, i have a stick, so wou will need the special bracket for the auto tranny... check out www.4crawler.com this is roger brown, a lot of people hear love his stuff.... if i had to do my bl over again, i would go with his... its really good, better than the off the shelf ones, its a little more expensive, but great stuff... also i have a roger brown steering shaft extender and it works great, and looks cool too.....

Roger is the man, you cant go wrong with anything he makes. He knows his toyotas, he helped me with every dumb question I had about my body lift. Even questions that did not pertain to the lift, like tire/ rim combos. I can't wait untill he sends out my lift so I can get it installed
