22re Turbo gauge swap

Anyone know if I can put a turbo sr5 gauge (non-digital) gauge in my non SR5 non-turbo 4runner. both are 4cyl engines, 1st generation 4runners. will the tach work correctlly, even though the guage is from a turbo 4runner. are there any differnces between the guages other than the turbo light?

Is there a reason that you want a turbo gauge? If it's just for the tach, then it should work.

It should work as long as the connections and wiring are the same. The turbo tach measures the same 4 cylinders as the non-turbo. Why do this though?

I mainly want the tach, I also want the oil tem and pres. gauges insteed of my dummy lights. Im looking this gauge because there is a junk yard in town that has it, and I cant seem to find any other SR5 gauge clusters.

In that case, it sould work just fine I'm guessing. I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work.
