22RE bad noise at 3500 rpm
Hey everyone, found this place on a google search.
Let me get right to it.
I have an 94 2x4 Pickup with about 120,000 miles.
When my engine warms up and it hits around 3500 RPM I hear this screeching sound coming from the engine.
It does not sound like a loose belt but something else.
Does anyone have an idea?
Also the power and torque has just been going downhill, is it time for a rebuild?

Probably better pop the valve cover off and have a look at the timing chain, see if its chewing a hole through the t chain cover. Is it rattling a lot more than usual???
