2005 Tacoma Double Cab Test Drive !!!

So I finally was able to test drive the new 05 Taco Double Cab V6, Silver with TRD Off Road Package and short Bed.

Positives:
SMOOOOOTH ride for an Off Road package and big tires. Plenty of Power and Pep. And considering I gave the truck gas more than a few times, the ride was exceptionaly quiet! Turning radius is EXCELLENT for a truck of this size. Braking was also very good. I loved all of the storage compartments, cup holders, sunglass holders and compass. Fit and Finsh was excellent. I was wondering why people compared it to Lexus but I can see why now. The seats were VERY comfortable. Compared to my old 01 Frontier, the cabin, especially the back seat was much more comfortable. Bed was nice and has some great features built into it. The exterior look is very cool, has a very tough stance and overall look. Gas mileage is very respectable for a truck of this size and power. Color options... I LOVE the blue!

Negatives:
That back window is WAAAAY too small. Especially with the rear headrests in the way it was very hard to see out of it. For an 05, there seems to be a lack of features like optional power drivers seat, moonroof, and navigation. THATS it though, overall Im very impressed.

My goal is a completely loaded 05 4x4 Doublecab Blue, Side Airbags and all. Sticker is going to be $31,200, however Ive alread gotten dealers committing to $500-$1000 over invoice so I think I can save a few bucks in that respect. The only thing that has me hesitant is the 04 Titan. Ive driven it twice and I love it too! Its just so DAMN BIG!

Nice writeup, thanks! At first I thought the rear window was too small until I realized visibility was more limited by the overly deep tint. Where are you? You either have a connection or a very aggressive dealer. Like I posted in the other thread, I'd jump on that deal before the dealer wakes up.

Just pretend that you're driving a Semi or delivery truck..
