2000 Tacoma clutch issues.
Guys,
I've got a 2000 Tacoma 2wd, 120k, and shifting has become a real problem lately.
Symptoms:
-at a stop, it won't go into 1st, without jamming it in, or letting the clutch out halfway.
- once its in gear, it will pull away without any grabbing or clutch slipping.
- once underway, shifting into 2nd, 3rd, etc is also difficult.
- it appears there is a 'sweet spot' within the clutch pedal range; about 1/2 or 3/4 to the floor, gear changes are smooth.
- slave cylinder is full, and outside is dry (no leaks from the slave)
I don't think the clutch is actually worn out, but i'm not sure.
Clutch, tranny, (and possibly fluid) are all original.
Thanks for any help.
