1st gen or truck tool box
Got a new Cabela's catelog awhile back, and just got around to reading it last night.
In it I saw a nice upright box that is perfect for trucks, or 1st gen 4Runners.
Not sure how it would work in 2nd and on up gens of the 4Runner though, as it would have to mount to a pretty flat vertical surface.
It's available in 3 & 5 drawer, and also a Brite Tread alloy finish.
Looks like it would be a pretty good way to secure some tools back there for when you have the top off.

i was going to use this setup i found on a yota site:
"20mm ammo boxes behind rear wheelwells for storage, bolted to bed sides (7.62mm ammo boxes fit PERFECTLY inside these. I use the 7.62mm boxes for storing tools, air hose & accessories, and other small items and parts. I use the 20mm boxes for storing recovery chains, a tug strap, battery jumper cables, and other gear. All ammo boxes are waterproof as well. This was a better storage solution than one large box behind the bulkhead, as I need the entire length of the bed for sleeping during trips.)"
